A. Yes, the Presidium USB Universal Power Adaptor can be used to supply electrical power to the product. It is sold separately. Please note that only the Presidium-branded adaptor should be used for Presidium products.
A. It will take between 12-15 seconds for the product to be optimally ready for use.
A. You will need to do so when your readings are suspect and/or when you replace the tip or change to a micro tip.
A. Calibration takes about 30 seconds. Please do not lift up the tip from Calibration Disk when calibration. During calibration, the Simulant, Moissanite and Diamond indicator lights will each gradually light up, accompanied by rhythmic beeping. When the Diamond LED lights are lit, the ending phase of calibration sets in and when calibration is complete, all indicator lights will be fully lit and a long beep will sound, followed by a unique dual beep. A. Turn the probe tip anti-clockwise to remove it. To insert a new probe tip, position Guide 1 indicated on the new tip, slide it in and turn clockwise to align it with Guide 2 marked on the main body of the product. Press the Power Button to switch on the tester. Once the Ready light stops blinking, the tester is ready to enter calibration mode. You may view the video here on how to replace the tip. A. Depending on usage, a new probe tip can last 20,000 tests.
A. It may be plugged into a power source (the Presidium USB Universal Power Adaptor is recommended for correct wattage and usage) for external electrical energy.
